About This Report
Dwellworks is a privately held company, with minority ownership by our executive and leadership team and majority ownership by TZP Group, a private equity firmwith a dedicated Impact Investing group. While we have no legal or regulatory requirement to report on Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) initiatives, we believe the ESG framework is intrinsic to and aligned with our core values. Statements in this report may be forward-looking; these statements are based on Dwellworks management’s current assumptions and expectations. As times and objectives change, the results, goals, and commitments may be adjusted to reflect these changes and any potential risks or uncertainties. Terminology Throughout this report and consistent with global standards of environmental reporting, greenhouse gas emissions are expressed as GHG and in tonnes or metric tons. Registration Dwellworks supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and is registered on the UNSDG Platform. Dwellworks is enrolled in the UN Global Compact, the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world. Our commitments to UNGC requirements are available via our annually updated and publicly accessible Communication on Progress (CoP). Dwellworks is required to update the CoP annually by June 30.

An Update on Our Progress
What a difference a year makes. In early 2022, the world was just getting used to open borders and loosened COVID-19 protocols. At the same time, employers and the global workforce were getting more confident about travel, relocation, and returning to the office, in new and adaptive ways. And then the late spring and summer surge in moves hit, unfortunately in sync with the human tragedy of the war in Ukraine. Our corporate housing teams and partner networks did an amazing job in the face of a 300% increase in bookings. Under great pressure, our destination services teams found rental homes, registered customers for social services, and helped get kids in schools. All of this in the face of tight rental markets worldwide, new government restrictions, and depleted staff across agencies and local services. What’s the tie-in to ESG? Some important lessons and opportunities. First, always take care of your people. We are continuously building the mobility industry’s most diverse and inclusive team, supporting customers with empathy and expertise. We’re also supporting our team with the training, back-up, and wellness access they deserve. Our organically formed Inclusion Committee, representing every level and line of the business, brought us together through support and teamwork. Our HR leadership championed an expanded holiday schedule, so more associates could take more time off. Our Engagement Committees organized get-togethers and volunteer events, with enthusiastic associate participation worldwide, whether reading in schools, filling food bank shelves, or cleaning up local shorelines. We added roles in talent recruitment, training, client services, supply chain, global compliance, and accounting. The stronger our core, the better equipped we are to make progress on ESG commitments while continuing to deliver outstanding service experiences (which we did, per our pulse check surveys, 96.5% of the time across over 20,000 service opportunities). Turning to environmental impact, we aligned our office footprint with where our clients need us to be and with the realities of a hybrid workforce. We have reduced our leased office space by 36%. That goes a long way towards our goal of reducing our core GHG emissions by 50% by 2030. We’ve also just completed a refurbishment of our global headquarters, with zero technology waste and sustainable materials throughout.

Our internal carbon footprint is small compared to the emissions of global mobility and travel overall. We aligned early with Worldwide ERC® (WERC), European Relocation Association (EuRA), Corporate Housing Providers Association (CHPA), and the Coalition for Greener Mobility to take a leadership role in defining opportunities for measurable, meaningful reductions, with a focus in our areas of expertise: destination services and corporate housing. In 2023, these efforts are expected to yield practical guidelines for corporate employers, relocation management companies, and service partners to align around common definitions and standards. Our goal is to differentiate by performance and results, not by creating unique programs or slowing down adoption. Our company goals are to simplify, optimize and grow. This strategy is consistent with the people, planet, and prosperity goals of leading organizations worldwide. With our historic good governance and planning, we’re focusing our business on where we can have the most impact. We’re investing in talent and innovation that is sustainability sensitive. This will spur better results and opportunity for clients, customers, associates, network partners, investors, and community. And we’re excited by growth. The sustained return to global workforce mobility signals that people remain eager to connect, in traditional and new ways. I couldn’t close without acknowledging some key wins. We earned a Silver Medal from EcoVadis, putting us in the top 25% of the 75,000+ companies who have participated in their assessment. We re-signed our largest direct corporate housing client based on performance, partnership, and proof of action, including our detailed ESG plan. We won the Environmental Stewardship Award from a major client. And we proudly contributed to the first-year success of Upward Mobility, the industry’s initiative for creating intern opportunities for underrepresented students. Dwellworks committed to a formal ESG initiative in 2021. We responded to the growing expectation among our stakeholders, including clients, customers, associates, network partners, investors, and our local communities, for tangible actions and results in the areas of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impact. Over the past 2+ years, stakeholder ESG expectations have broadened and deepened in scope and requirements. We are increasingly focused on working within the global mobility and business travel industries to establish standards of measurement and evaluation. Coalition for Greener Mobility
Inmid-2022, six keymobility trade associations came together to strategize, simplify, and standardize the approach to ESGwithin our industry, with an initial focus on sustainability. Collectively, Worldwide ERC® (WERC), the Canadian Employee Relocation Council (CERC), European Relocation Association (EuRA), the Corporate Housing Providers Association (CHPA), Federation Internationale des Demenageurs Internationaux (FIDI Global Alliance), and the International Association of Movers (IAM) signed a joint agreement to provide the Global Mobility industry with a roadmap and common actions towards achieving greater environmental sustainability through the Coalition for Greener Mobility https://www.greenermobility.org/. Initial commitments of the Coalition include helping all industry stakeholders with common practices in ESG and sustainability, development of a roadmap and prioritized actions, and advocacy, education, and a tool kit for the members of the affiliate associations. In 2023, we’ll work with the Coalition in defining sustainability expectations and measurements in our core sectors: destination services and corporate housing.

Digital Documents – Keeping Trees in the Ground Dwellworks focuses on emissions reduction, with limited investment in carbon offsets. We continue to drive towards paperless operations and other carbon savings. We are already digital in our core service customer communications. Where we are able, we use DocuSign for corporate contracting and compliance registration documentation.
Green Resources for the Mobile Workforce Customers and clients are asking for locally relevant sustainability resources for their global moves and business travel. By YE 2023, myDwellworks will include resource information in over 100+ global business destinations, similar to the guidance we already provide for DEI resources in destination communities.
Less Office Space Means Reduced GHG Emissions
In the past two years, we have reduced the footprint of our global offices by 36%. While we strongly support a physical office presence to encourage associate engagement and the sharing and reinforcement of our corporate culture, we also recognize the reality of hybrid work and its impact on physical office needs. Using commonly accepted emissions standards for office occupancy, a reduction of over 16,500 square feet of office space produced an equivalent reduction in GHG emissions of 267 metric tons.

Setting an Example at Global HQ
Our office in Cleveland, OH is in a historic, 100-year-old building In consolidating our office space, we preserved the best of its ‘bones’ while opening up the natural light, reusing our technology, furniture and hardware, and creating many more spaces for creativity and collaboration. Here’s a partial list of the positive environmental actions we built into the process:
• Opened up floor space for maximum natural light • LED lighting for work areas and associate cafe
• Glass dry erase boards versus dry erase paint for collaboration rooms • Zoom spaces and hot desks for efficient hybrid-office/shared desk usage • Low VOC (volatile organic compounds) paint • Water efficient bathrooms • No newly purchased furniture • All excess furniture shared with associates or donated to non-profit organizations • Keeping 50 office chairs out of landfills eliminates 3.6 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions!

Sustainable Success in Corporate Housing
Our Dwellworks Living promise is to provide objective, high-performing, client-matched housing solutions in over 125 countries. Clients increasingly expect to be presented with sustainable options, and the thousands of suppliers in our corporate housing supply chain are taking action in response. In our 2022/23 supplier survey, 84% of responding partners indicated they were taking sustainable actions, from recycling programs, to water use reduction, to food waste management, to more efficient heating, ventilation, and lighting. We’re collaborating on performance standard guidelines for suppliers and clients on specific sustainability KPIs and are targeting roll-out and adoption for later this year.

Prioritizing Our Team’s Well Being
We’re proud of our Inclusion Committee Our Inclusion Committee is a cross-organizational, globally representative group of associates who organically came together to learn more about each other and our company. The group develops training tools and education for the rest of the organization, and provides support for our ongoing efforts in diversity, equity and inclusion through communication and shared success stories. Support through the unique challenges of 2022 The Dwellworks Living team managed a huge surge in corporate housing volume in Europe in 2022. Jake Bone, Director, Corporate Housing Operations, EMEA noted that “the first instinct of the team is always, ‘how can we help?’ We worked nights and weekends to source solutions with limited information, but urgent timelines. If the better solution was sometimes outside of our company, we’d make that choice. The point was to get help to families and I’m incredibly proud of the team.” The (Super) Power of Team Dwellworks values the time associates can be together, in our offices or active in our communities. A variety of activities and events were planned all around the globe in 2022 through our local Engagement Committees. Recruiting for a Globally Diverse and Inclusive Team

We’re active in local recruiting events at Cleveland State University, and at the same time, being a global company with global associates gives us insights into diversity, inclusion and engagement actions that really differentiate Dwellworks as an employer. DEI in Workforce Mobility
Themobility industry has been in the forefront of the conversation about diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Corporate employers are looking broadly and deeply into their populations to provide greater development opportunities. Mobility professionals are experts at sounding out and supporting the expectations and concerns of individuals and families relocating to new and unknown cultures and communities, whether across borders or across the country. We’re advocates for policies that focus on ‘inclusion not exception.’ We train our teams to start with open questions to enable open conversations and we provide the resources of our local experts and the content in myDwellworks™ to specifically support the DEI dialogue. Our white paper, DEI – The Key to a Better Destination Services Experience has been our most popular thought leadership download to date.

Engagement with each other and commitments to our community are core to Dwellworks culture. As a business, we’re proud to have donated over $25,000 to organizations making a difference in society. But the heart and soul of our community connection is through our teams, their organic inspiration and leadership, and their volunteer efforts at 20+ charities and organizations around the world. Dwellworks funds a half-day paid time off for every team member to participate in the volunteer effort of their choice. Many associates choose to volunteer together to support a local cause. EcoVadis We were thrilled to earn the Silver Medal designation from EcoVadis in the third quarter of 2022, scoring 33% higher than their average participant score. EcoVadis’ evaluation of compliance, process, and documentation, and their alignment with established scientific as well as social responsibility principles makes them one of the most trusted sustainability assessment organizations in the world. Appendix: Measurements & Methodology
The data captured for 2022 is primarily from our US operations where we have the largest proportion of people and occupied space. We have begun capturing information from other locations (Costa Rica, Europe) based on the size and proportionate impact of their carbon footprint. In all instances, data reflects a partial sampling (e.g., kWh but not additional utilities; sampling of data from Scope 3 suppliers, but not full supplier representation). Expanded global analysis is a 2023 goal. Our greenhouse gas emissions in the US increased in 2022 as more associates commuted to work and travelled for business; we incurred unique expenses in our headquarters office consolidation, and more consultants delivered more destination services overall and in person. These increases were offset by a globally averaged reduction in GHG emissions due to a smaller office footprint overall. We use https://www.carbonfootprint.com for calculations and follow guidelines from https://ghgprotocol.org/ corporate-standard .

Dwellworks does not own any office space. As tenants, we receive utilities usage bills and reporting from landlords at varying levels of detail. The following analyses reflect electrical usage in two of our largest office spaces (US and Costa Rica). In 2023, we will continue to pursue gathering more information (e.g., heating, water usage, waste management) for these and other offices of significant size in our global footprint.
