US Handbook 2023
Dress for Your Day Policy The general rule at Dwellworks is for Associates to dress for their day. If an Associate is meeting with clients, prospective clients, presenting to clients or in a professional capacity, or otherwise representing the company to individuals outside of Dwellworks, the Associate is expected to dress in a more traditional level of office attire. If an Associate’s day consists of exclusively working with their Dwellworks coworkers, a more casual approach is acceptable. There are certain items of clothing that are inappropriate for an Associate to wear, regardless of what their workday consists of, which are listed below: + Inappropriate Dress: workout attire, sleepwear, sweatpants, beachwear, midriff bearing tops, sleeveless tops, loose or tight fitting clothing, provocative clothing, any clothing bearing offensive or controversial statements or images, or torn or stained clothing or shoes. Ending the Employment Relationship While Dwellworks hopes employment will be long-lasting, Associates are free to resign at any time just as Dwellworks is free to terminate employment at any time and for any non-discriminatory reason. Associates who wish to resign their employment should submit a written letter of resignation to their direct Leader at least fourteen (14) days in advance of the Associate’s final day of work. Any remaining PTO should not be applied to an Associate’s final two (2) weeks of employment. Anytime employment is ended with Dwellworks, an Associate must continue satisfactory performance of their job duties and complete all assigned job tasks until the last scheduled day of employment. In addition, the Associate must turn over any property owned by Dwellworks, including, but not limited to, electronic devices, files, keys, company credit cards, access cards, passwords, contacts, leads, or the like. Any confidentiality and non solicitation agreements an Associate has signed with Dwellworks remain in full force and effect until expired or terminated, even after the Associate is no longer employed by Dwellworks. Layoffs Associates of Dwellworks who are laid-off will be maintained on a recall list for a period of six (6) months, commencing on the date of layoff, or until Dwellworks determines that the layoff is permanent, whichever occurs sooner. Section 4: Leave Programs Holidays In the U.S., Dwellworks observes the following holidays: + New Year’s Day + MLK Day
+ Presidents Day + Memorial Day + Juneteenth + Independence Day + Labor Day + Veterans Day + Thanksgiving + Day after Thanksgiving + Christmas
Additional holidays may be given each year. The schedule is distributed each December preceding the year for which the schedule applies and can be located on the Dwellworks Intranet. When Company holidays fall on any weekday, full-time non-exempt and exempt Associates will be compensated for the holiday at their standard rate. Part-time Associates will be paid for standard hours on the holiday only if the holiday takes place during their regularly scheduled workday. To receive holiday pay, the Associate must actually work, or be excused from working, on the Associate’s last scheduled workday prior to and the first scheduled workday following the holiday.
