Associates also have the flexibility to choose their lunch break schedule. Associates must have a lunch break of at least thirty (30) minutes but have the option of choosing a one (1) hour lunch break. In any event, if an Associate prefers a lunch break longer than thirty (30) minutes, that Associate should adjust their working schedule to accommodate the additional time taken for lunch. Any work scheduled that is less than 8 hours a day to falls into an alternate work schedule which must be pre Work schedules that allow Associates to work outside of regular business hours must be approved by their direct Leader and Human Resources. Business and client needs are considered first when reviewing an Associate’s request for an alternate work schedule. Each request is considered independently, and the alternate work schedule must be in the best interest of Dwellworks and the Associate. Approval of an alternate work schedule is not and will not be a precedent for future approvals. Alternate work schedules will be documented in the Associate’s personnel file. All alternate work schedules are considered temporary arrangements and will be reviewed on an on-going basis. Alternate work schedules may be changed or canceled completely, with or without Dwellworks wants to support a positive work-life balance for our Associates. As part of our commitment to this aim, Associates who live within 75 miles of the Cleveland office are required to report into the Cleveland office at least one day per week. Certain Associates may be required to report to the office up to three (3) days per week depending on their job functions. Additionally, Associates who are on performance plans may be required to report to the office full-time. Each Associate will work with Human Resources and their Leader to determine which day(s) the Associate is required to report into the office. Remote Working Requirements When working remotely, an Associate must be able to access all files, emails, and Systems. The Associate must be available to receive phone calls and retrieve voicemails and respond to emails and other requests in a timely manner. Associates must be fully compliant with all of Dwellworks’ data privacy, confidential information, and IT security policies while working remotely. Additionally, Associates continue to be bound by all provisions in this Handbook while working remotely. All remote Associates must keep Human Resources and their Leader updated with their current work location. Associates must request prior approval from Human Resources and their Leader if the Associate intends to change their working location for more than 30 days. Human Resources may deny an Associate’s request for any reason, including if the Associate is moving to a different state or country. If an associate works in a different work location more than 30 days they must update their work location in UKG so the proper taxes can be applied. If an Associate has been recently promoted or made a lateral transfer to a new role, leaders may restrict remote working until the Associate is fully settled into their new role. When an Associate is working remotely, they are required to have their cameras on when participating in meetings. The Associate’s background should be appropriate and free of any offensive, political, harassing, or discriminatory words, terms, logos, pictures, cartoons, slogans, or writing or images. Associates are able to download and use an official Dwellworks Background from the Marketing Intranet linked here if desired. Dwellworks strongly believes that our Associates can be trusted to utilize the remote work benefit in an appropriate manner. However, the following are examples of situations that would not be appropriate when an Associate is working remotely: + A time when the Associate is expected to commit to ongoing supervision or care of another including caring for a child or caring for someone who is ill. + A time when the Associate is en-route to a destination. + A time when the Associate is unable to be productive but has unlimited access to emails and phone calls. approved by Human Resources.
