information about this Policy. Workplace Searches

To maintain a safe, healthy, and productive work environment, Dwellworks reserves the right to search or inspect an Associate’s surroundings and possessions. This right extends to the search or inspection of Company property or an Associate’s personal property. Associates should have no expectation of privacy while on Company property. Violence/Firearm Policy Dwellworks strictly prohibits workplace violence in its’ buildings, on its’ property, in owned, leased, or rented Company vehicles, or at Company-Associated events. Associates are prohibited from making threats, engaging in activities that are violent or could lead to violence, horse playing, or using obscene, abusive, or threatening language, regardless of its form. Dwellworks strictly prohibits the possession of any type of firearm in its buildings, on its property, or in owned, leased, or rented Company vehicles in accordance with state law. Drug, Alcohol, and Tobacco Dwellworks maintains a tobacco-free environment. The use of tobacco while working or representing Dwellworks with customers, clients, suppliers, consultants, or professional colleagues is strictly prohibited. The distribution, sale, or purchase of alcoholic beverages on Dwellworks property or during work hours is prohibited. Alcoholic beverages may be consumed in moderation during Dwellworks related business meals, business meetings, or other business activities. Alcoholic beverages may also be consumed, in moderation, during appropriate Dwellworks sponsored events. In all situations, the Associate is fully responsible for the choice to consume alcoholic beverages. Associates should use good judgment when using alcohol, conform to appropriate business etiquette, and avoid behavior that could embarrass the Associate and/or Dwellworks. Associates should never operate a vehicle on company business or engage in other job responsibilities when under the influence of alcohol. Dwellworks assumes that all Associates participate in drug-free lifestyles. The distribution, sale, purchase, use, or possession of illegal or non-prescribed narcotics, hallucinogenic drugs, marijuana, or other controlled substances or the unauthorized use of prescription drugs is prohibited while on Dwellworks property or during work hours. Associates who possess, sell, use, or divert controlled substances shall subject themselves not only to state or federal prosecution for any illegal activity but are also immediately subject to action regarding their continued employment unless such drug or controlled substance is authorized for medicinal use. An Associate who reports to work under the influence of alcohol or drugs or is found incapable of safely performing his/her job because he/she is under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be subject to immediate termination of employment. Drug & Alcohol Screening; Background Checks; Credit Checks Dwellworks often deals with private and confidential information of its clients and the individuals serviced by its clients. As a result, many require Associates to be screened through drug tests and background checks. Dwellworks requires all newly hired Associates and acquired Associates to submit to drug screens, background checks, and credit checks where applicable upon onboarding, and every three (3) years thereafter. If applicable, the drug test, background check, or credit check will be conducted by an independent third-party agency, and the results will be kept confidential by Dwellworks. An Associate’s continued employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of ongoing drug testing, background checks, and credit checks where applicable. Any Associate whose drug test, background check, or credit check reveals results that are inconsistent with Dwellworks’ requirements may be sanctioned by being removed from a customer account or other such actions, up to and including termination.
