US Handbook 2023

Each Associate is responsible for maintaining up-to-date and accurate personal information for company files since Dwellworks relies on this information in connection with payroll, insurance, mailings, and emergency situations. Associates must work with Human Resources prior to making changes to any of the below: + Name + Address + Work Location + Telephone number + Cell Phone number + Emergency Contact Information Many updates can be made by the Associate in the payroll service provider online system. If additional information about the update is needed, Human Resources will contact the Associate. Automobile Insurance & Device Usage All Associates whose job responsibilities may include driving clients, customers, or Associates must maintain valid and appropriate automobile insurance. Associates should be aware of special circumstances that may exist regarding their own personal automobile insurance and the use of an automobile for business purposes. Dwellworks reserves the right to require that Associates whose jobs include driving an automobile maintain insurance coverage at certain levels. In accordance with state laws, Associates who are authorized to use a vehicle for Company purposes are prohibited from operating any electronic devices, whether personal or company-issued, while operating such vehicles. Dwellworks encourages Associates to use hands-free devices. Any criminal, civil, or administrative citations resulting from violations of this Policy is the sole financial responsibility of the Associate. In addition to the policy, Associates must comply with any HSSE policies and Associate Code of Conduct policies linked here relating to automobile use. Personal Calls during Office Hours Associates may use personal cell phones during breaks or lunch to make personal calls during work hours. Ringers should be set on silent or vibrate while at the workplace, and calls should be made in the office common areas such as the kitchen or break rooms so as not to disturb other Associates. Attendance Policy Dwellworks requires Associates to take responsibility for accomplishing their work and being available during regularly scheduled business hours. Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of all positions with Dwellworks. It is our practice to allow Associates to occasionally and briefly step away from work for personal appointments, without deducting paid time off (“PTO”). However, these occasions must be approved by the Associate’s direct Leader in accordance with the PTO Policy. The Leader will deduct PTO for time away from the office that was not pre-approved. Absenteeism Absenteeism is any occasion when an Associate is scheduled to be working but has not reported for work. It is also any occasion when an Associate has reported for work as scheduled but becomes absent before the end of the scheduled workday. Absences are recognized as excused or unexcused. Excused absences include time off that is requested and approved, under one of Dwellworks’ leave programs. Any other type of absence or tardiness is unexcused and may be subject to disciplinary action. Tardiness Tardiness is any occasion that an Associate arrives at work or begins their work after the start of regular business hours. It is also any occasion when an Associate has returned late from a break or lunch during business hours. Punctuality is required from all Associates. Habitual tardiness, like habitual absenteeism, disrupts schedules and directly affects the morale of fellow Associates as well as our ability to serve our customers.
