Transportation Though the Silicon Valley is quite devoted to car culture, the CalTrain is the most popular method of public transportation between Mountain View and San Francisco. Stops are plentiful between the city itself and the South Bay Area and the Google Shuttle also stops in front of the Mountain View station. CalTrain www.caltrain.com The Valley Transport Authority represents both the bus and the light rail system. The light rail is much like a trolly that operates within the South Bay area with final stops in Mountain and South San Jose. They tend to run close to on time. The bus system is not as reliable and not recommended unless you have time to spare. Caltrain serves dozens of stations between San Francisco and Gilroy on weekdays. Some of the main stations are:

+ San Francisco - 700 4th St., San Francisco 94107 + 22 nd Street - 1149 22nd St., San Francisco 94107

+ Millbrae Transit Center - 100 California Drive, Millbrae 94030 + Menlo Park Station - 1120 Merrill St., Menlo Park 94025 + Mountain View - 600 W.
