Local Attractions Named after its beautiful views, Mountain View is a pedestrian-friendly town packed with things to see and do, including the Computer History Museum, the Shoreline Amphitheatre, and the Mountain View Farmers Market. Historical homes have become landmarks to the city, such as the Rengstorff House, and there’s an abundance of public parks and open green space nearby. Shoreline Lake and Park are complete with a boathouse where you can bike, run, or simply relax lakeside. Shoreline Golf Links is a public golf course near the lake, and Shoreline Amphitheatre is an incredible outdoor music venue for the community. Stevens Creek Trail https://www.stevenscreektrail.org/ Stevens Creek Trail is a multi-use trail that runs along the creek corridor of Stevens Creek beginning in Shoreline Park and ending at the corner of Heatherstone Way and Dale Avenue. The trail is popular with locals for walking and jogging, cycling and scootering, roller and inline skating, dog walking, and birdwatching. The Shoreline-Lake Boathouse is a scenic spot for biking, hiking, jogging, strolling, bird-watching, and other recreational activities. NASA Ames Visitor Center https://www.nasa.gov/ames/visit The NASA Ames Visitor Center forms part of the NASA's Ames Research Center, which is a key facility for many of NASA’s missions and projects. The Ames’ Visitor Center highlights the projects at the Research Center and the work NASA is doing with a variety of fascinating exhibits, such as ‘Science on a Sphere’, The Rengstorff House The Rengstorff House was constructed in 1897 and is the oldest home in the city. The fully-restored property was once owned by a well-known businessman and is open to visitors who wish to view the Victorian-era decor.

Moffett Field Historical Society Museum is devoted to protecting this historic site through exhibits that recount its story.
