The prices above are only estimated since they vary from driving school to driving school. The total costs for obtaining a German driving license are around €1,000 if you have to pass both theoretical and practical tests. Vocabulary assistance I would like to register with you. (Addresses later in the chapter) Some driving schools may as well offer “first aid courses”. Please check with your driving school. Duration: around 1 day (around 8 hours per 45 min.) Cost: around € 25 You also need to take a sight-test. Please go to any optician and ask for a sight-test. At some “first aid courses” it is possible to take a sight-test as well. Please check with the organization. Please take your passport with you as proof of identity. This sight-test will be valid for two years. Cost: around € 20
