Transportation Though the Silicon Valley is quite devoted to car culture, the CalTrain is the most popular method of public transportation between Mountain View and San Francisco. Stops are plentiful between the City itself and the South Bay Area and the Google Shuttle also stops in front of the Mountain View station. The light rail is much like a trolly that operates within the South Bay area with final stops in Mountain and South San Jose. They tend to run close to on time.
