Aguascalientes is the capital of the state of Aguascalientes located in the North-Center of Mexico. The metropolitan population is around 1.3 million people. It is the second safest state in Mexico and therefore has low crime rates. The quality of life of Aguascalientes´ population is one of the highest in all of Mexico. Aguascalientes is home to people from many different countries, there is a large Japanese population, followed by the American and Spanish communities, a growing German community, and other smaller communities of Russian, Cuban, Argentinean and Colombian people.
